Roger Powell has added his name to the Famed Greenville Pickens Speedway Championship wall. The Waynesville,NC native Captured the 2009 Track Championship at the Famed Short Track in the Nascar Whelen All American Series. “We've worked hard, and things have gone well,” Powell said. “It's a real honor to win the championship at this track.”
Ward also n a Leavitt Car, who for a while was battling for the front spot and now was running third before the restart, when he slipped to sixth, said before the race he thought the championship was already a done deal, and he wanted to be the first to congratulate Powell.
